The autumn is once again here and many of you are no doubt already busy with running courses, answering questions from students, and generally being completely swamped with work. What better time to get an update about some great new features that we have just rolled out that can help you make the most out of your business simulation courses?

The annual conference organized by the Academy of Management has once again been a tremendous success. Educators from all over the world came to share ideas, sit in on sessions, and come by the exhibitor hall to meet publishers and educational tool providers. This time around, the location was the prestigious city of Boston, MA — home to both Harvard and MIT. We would like to thank the AOM team, our visitors, and our clients for coming by our desk and sharing their opinion with us on the business simulations industry.

The annual Academy of Marketing conference is just around the corner. This year, the event will be held in Southampton (United Kingdom) between 2-5 of July, 2012. If you are a marketing educator living in Europe, this is certainly a conference not to miss out on. Apart from papers presented on various marketing discipline related topics, there will also be a workshop organized by us on using marketing simulations in education.

Sylvie Humbert from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP Grenoble) has been an integral part of the organizing team of our recent Business Simulations Workshop in France. She is an educator in marketing, industrial marketing and business development, as well as a supporter of innovative projects. In this interview, she talks about her experiences with business simulation games for engineering students, and what advice she'd give to fellow educators thinking of trying them out in their courses or training programs.
