The business simulation competition brought together 29 student teams from 21 institutions across 10 countries, creating a melting pot of strategies and innovative thinking. ![CESIM ELITE 2024 European Qualifier Award ceremony](https://www.cesim.com/hs-fs/hubfs/CESIM%20ELITE%202024%20European%20Qualifier%20Award%20ceremony.png?width=1233&height=695&name=CESIM%20ELITE%202024%20European%20Qualifier%20Award%20ceremony.png) #### The winners of the CESIM Elite Europe 2024 qualifier were: ######     🏅 ESSEC LMBA from ESSEC Business School     🏅 Hestim 1 from Hestim Engineering & Business School     🏅 IQScorpions from IQS School of Management Each team displayed a blend of strategic acumen and creativity, setting them apart in a competitive environment. In recognition of their efforts and skills, all participants were awarded certificates of participation, a testament to their  dedication. #### A Deep Dive into Strategy and Marketing The core of the Cesim Elite competition was centered around six simulation rounds using Cesim Marketing FMCG, which incorporated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) decisions. This added layer required teams to not only focus on profit margins and market share but also consider the broader impact of their decisions on society, the environment and the customer preferences in the simulation regarding corporate responsibility. ![Sip & Savor Squad](https://www.cesim.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sip%20%26%20Savor%20Squad.jpg?width=1136&height=898&name=Sip%20%26%20Savor%20Squad.jpg)*Decisions of team Sip & Savor Squad - Cesim Elite Europe 2024* #### Beyond Simulations: A Test of Real-World Skills Adding to the intensity, the competition included a significant challenge where teams conducted qualitative research to understand customer segment preferences. This task tested their ability to step out of the simulation environment and engage with real-world market research techniques. The standout team in this challenging segment was Bucks & Beyond from the University of Buckingham, who delivered the most insightful qualitative research in a short time. *Team Bucks & Beyond - Qualitative Research Plan - Cesim Elite Europe 2024*   #### How the Scores Stacked Up The simulation rounds, which formed the core of the competition, accounted for 75% of each team’s overall score. These rounds tested the teams' ability to manage a company’s marketing strategies with an emphasis on sustainable and ethical decision-making. This balanced scoring system ensured that the teams were evaluated not only on their strategic and operational acumen but also on their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world business scenarios.  #### The Road to the Global Stage The top two teams, ESSEC LMBA and Hestim 1, have earned their spots in the upcoming Cesim Elite International Final, which will run from May 27th to June 2nd. This event will not only feature the winners from Europe but also the champions from qualifiers in China, India, Vietnam, and Latin America, making it a truly global showdown of strategic prowess ! The CESIM Elite 2024 Europe competition not only tested the business skills of Europe's brightest students but also fostered a spirit of international cooperation and learning.
