ICHRIE Conference, 30 July - 1 Aug, 2014

The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina provided an excellent location for our very first appearance at the annual ICHRIE summer conference between 30 July and 1 August, 2014. A short but busy exhibitor hall presence gave us a chance to meet hospitality & tourism educators from around the world, and peak their interest in our Cesim Hospitality restaurant and hotel management simulation game. It was exciting to be the newcomer at the event and we were even more delighted to witness a genuine interest in active learning solutions by the attendees. To top off an already excellent experience at ICHRIE, we put one of our famous kuksa cups up for a silent auction on the first day (congratulations again to the winner, Sam Kohli).
Academy of Management Conference, 1 - 4 Aug, 2014 (management, strategy, international business)
Year after year, the annual meeting of the Academy of Management is the place to be for both management educators and those who wish to meet them, including book publishers, universities and business simulations providers like ourselves. It wasn't any different this year, so we had the chance to meet many of our existing customers as well as educators looking to evaluate new learning tools. Being the biggest event in management education that attracts thousands of professors of varying disciplines, we had our entire Cesim Business Simulations product portfolio on display for visitors to explore and try out.
As part of our new initiative at AOM to expand the ways in which we engage with attendees, our Managing Director, Veijo Kyösti, was one of the presenters at the Exploring Innovative Ways of Teaching Strategy Professional Development Workshop held on 1 Aug.
We want to thank everyone again who visited us during the exhibition hours, as well as the organizers for providing us with such a fantastic opportunity to meet our customers face to face. Until next year!
